James O'Beirne, Consultant Hepatologist at The Wellington Liver Unit, explains his areas of expertise. As The Wellington takes a team approach to management and diagnosis of liver disease, James O'Beirne works closely with a team of four physicians and four surgeons to diagnose and manage a wide range of liver conditions. James O'Beirne looks after patients with simple fatty liver disease and those with liver cancer, to patients with viral hepatitis and even patients with acute liver failure who need intensive care treatment.
