Mr Paraskeva has been pioneering the Single Incision/Port Laparoscopic Surgery (SILS) approach which is available at The Wellington Hospital. SILS is an alternative to natural orifice surgery and standard laparoscopic surgery that can be used for a range of procedures from hernia repairs to appendicectomies or cyst removals and more advanced colorectal resections for cancer. Benefits include quick recovery periods and small scarring as there is only a single hole incision rather then three.
