Step 2

Complete a medical report and referral form

Complete the International Patient Centre Referral Form and submit it with a Medical Report. This can be faxed to +44(0)20 7759 3825, or alternatively you can email it to intl.marketing@hcahealthcare.co.uk

Referral form. (pdf)

The Medical Report should give full details of your present condition, relevant medical history, provisional diagnosis and the treatment or investigations expected:

Emergency admission to any of our hospitals can be arranged by contacting HCA Connect on: +44(0)20 7079 4344

Step 3

Review of your referral form

Once the International Patient Centre has received your medical report and referral form, the information is forwarded to the appropriate specialist. The doctor will review your case and schedule an appointment.

Step 4

Estimate of costs

The International Patient Centre will provide you with estimates of your treatment costs and the amount of time you will need to stay in the UK to complete your treatment and follow up.

Step 5

We send you an appointment date

Step 6

We send you the final cost

Once the appointment date has been arranged we will send you a letter containing the appointment details and a cost guide. It is possible that the final cost will be more than the guide price. We are only able to provide approximate costs until your doctor has seen you and ordered the investigations and decided on a course of treatment.

Step 7

Confirm your appointment

Once we have booked your appointment you will need to confirm the appointment seven working days before it is scheduled. Confirmation can be made by phone, fax or email. If you do not confirm the appointment seven days in advance it will be cancelled.

Step 8

Arranging your visa

Once your appointment is confirmed and funds have been received the International Patient Centre will issue a 'confirmation to treat letter'. This letter will help you in your visa application process.

The HCA International Patient Centre is here to assist and advise you throughout the visa application process. However, HCA has no influence on UK immigration policies. Securing an appointment and receiving an invitation for medical care does not guarantee that the visa application will be successful.
