We exceed national standards for medical care

HCA was the first private UK hospital group to allow comparison with national outcome standards for a range of measures from MRSA incidence and health and safety compliance, through to cardiac mortality rates and patient transfers to other hospitals.

In many of these areas we exceed national expectations in areas such as intensive care survival and cardiac bypass surgery. We have also achieved a virtually MRSA-free environment in all of our hospitals and routinely test all our patients BEFORE or on admission.

We are currently the only private hospital group in London to submit our data to the Healthcare Commission public portal for cardiac surgery survival rates.

All six of our hospitals are accredited by the Health Quality Service, an internationally recognised health care standards organisation. This is a voluntary scheme which is separate from and additional to the statutory regulation by the Health Commission.

Our surgical outcomes are ranked alongside London's leading acute cardiac hospitals.
